Being an integral part of many successful startups has positioned me with the skills necessary to fully understand business models, founders' vision, and seamlessly lead technical teams towards the company's goals at scale.
When I'm not working on designing amazing things, you can find me taking my son on adventures or enjoying the outdoors.
Work
ETF Insider: currently consulting as their lead product designer. Our goal is to transform complicated financial data into easy to understand graphical models and visualizations. We are finding ways to uncover actionable insights from user’s portfolios and deliver them in the simplest and most intuitive graphical visualizations.
Oceanside Media: was the head of product that designed and built all of their Smart TV applications, external/internal dashboards, and marketing websites. At the time, the CTV space was growing exponentially and our apps were in trending categories in the top app stores. During my time there the company generated over $100 million in revenue and was acquired in 2019.
Odyssey Labs: was the lead product designer. Our challenge was to create a "unified user experience" by gamifying complex financial instruments so they are intuitive and enjoyable. During my time there I scoped and designed the entire product from their digital exchange to their NFT marketplace. With their product and pitch deck meticulously designed the team went on to raise their initial seed round.
BuyBack Technologies: I co-founded and was the head of product and engineering. BuyBack’s goal was to help the largest retailers in the world update their logistics strategy to streamline the retrieval of their devices and cut billions of dollars lost by inefficient and outdated systems. I designed, built, and managed a team of engineers to create and manage an on-demand logistics network. We met with the top fortune 500 companies and onboarded one of the third largest wireless carriers in the US with a successful launch.
ServeUs: was the lead product designer, a complete on-demand staffing solution for restaurants and bars. At a time when on-demand courier networks were relatively new, I led the product design of both their iOS and Android apps. The company successfully launched and onboarded hundreds of restaurants in New York.
WireCash: I began my career at a FinTech startup, an online marketplace for money transfers that enables U.S. residents to compare and transact with multiple international money transfer brands worldwide. At this time sending money online was still very new and I helped scale the product to thousands of users. I wore many hats at the startup and realized my real passion was design and decided to sharpen my focus. I went on to design and build the customer facing interfaces and admin fraud detection tools.
Background
I studied Business/Economics at UCSB and consider myself a generalist, an important asset I cherish to this day.
I started my career in operations, managing and growing high-growth startups. I quickly learned that to be successful, I needed to have a broad understanding of many different disciplines. So I decided to focus on design/development and maintain my growth-focused approach.
